A simple and easy way to make your van look better

Measure the width of the end hidden underneath which in my case is 1 inch wide. Measuring on the outside of the track won't give you the right measurement unless you've done it before and know what you have. Replaced all 4 strips on the corners of my RV with a 50ft roll with extra scraps. Remove the screw at the bottom. Pull the old bar up as high as possible. Take the ladder. Remove the lap seal at the top to expose the other screw. Remove the screw. Remove the remains of the old bar. Pay attention to where the screw hole is so you don't have to drill another hole in the roof. Tuck one side of the new bar into the top and place the end right where the old bar started. Push the other side of the bar toward the side that's already in place, just enough to seat it in the rail. Now put the screw back in. It's time to use a not so rusty screw. Screw in one side about 6 inches at a time, and then push and tuck in the opposite side. do it till the end Be sure to cut the molding at the bottom behind the rail at least 1/2 inch past where the screw will go. Scissors do an excellent job of cutting moldings. I did NOT cut the molding until I was ready to put the bottom screw under the floor. You might as well seal the top of the overlap while you re-lap the other parts of the roof. I just unfolded the bar on the go. The new shape looks great. Very easy to work with. One of the easiest things I've done on an RV. Shaping is not difficult. It is not customary to bypass corner windows. It's great for cornering and the like on RV corners. It amazes me how people can buy the wrong product for their application and then give that product a bad review.
