It's just a tape measure. No frills. It does exactly what I need. It measures as accurately as any tape in the human hand. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we use several dozen of these in our factory and they aren't as strong as they used to be. Or as I remember them. Ligaments can tear and tear. I just wish they built them a little tighter, but other than that they work fine. If you're doing light jobs like housework, or even framing and roofing a house, this will do, but in our work environment where it's used dozens or hundreds of times a day, it just doesn't hold up. as previously.
