Review on πŸ“ Stanley STHT30830 Lever Lock Tape: Innovative Lever Lock System for Fast and Reliable Measurements by Marcus Barlow

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price! May not be suitable for everyday use, e.g. in carpentry

Relatively compact 25ft tape measure. Can stretch up to 7 feet without much bending. So a good wide stable band. You need to press the button to eject the tape. It is possible to pull the tape out without squeezing it, but there is excessive resistance, so release is necessary to facilitate measurement over the entire stretched length. The hook does not protrude beyond the bottom of the case. Therefore, two-hand control is required. One to squeeze the mount and the other to grab the hook and pull the band out a little to use. The lettering may not last long from moisture, dirt, dust and sawdust. It really needs a redesign, with a hook that protrudes 1/16" under the case, a latch to allow for easy tape removal, and secure numbers/plating to make it last. The release lever sometimes slightly controls tape retraction and sometimes the last 3 feet. if the hook gets stuck in the case, I won't buy it again, even though it's cheap.
