I bought this dish for my boyfriend because he likes to leave his salted butter out in the open on the counter so he can conveniently stick his pen in his coffee in the morning. Needless to say, I hated looking at the open packet of butter on the kitchen table. This container solved the problem and he loves it even more than I expected. The included butter knife tattoo allows him to easily scrape the handle out and move it into his mug, and the seal under the lid works great.
