We haven't tried it outside yet, but I have high hopes! The paint was thick, like tempura paint or children's washable paint. The colors after drying corresponded to the colors when wet. They only darkened a bit so the kids were happy, the end result looked exactly as they had hoped. , we also made this "rock" garden art and painted it in fun colors. We used all the colors I've shown in the attached image and then black on the step. They blended well so we made an olive/dark and more neutral green by mixing in some red for the turtle's legs and head. Then we blended the colors of the ocean right on the turtle's back. My kids had so much fun coloring together! I'll update next summer after the color has gone through a few seasons and see how it fares with the weather over time.
