This is a great power supply that does everything you want and need. However, when the fan turns on, it's LOUD. When this fan gets going, you can hear it from the next room. I pay close attention to temperature in an airflow-oriented case. My system is fully air-cooled with aggressive fan curves to keep temperatures down. Every month I do a general cleaning of my computer. Now that this is the case, my fans are still pretty quiet when running while I check my computer. This PSU is so loud it's annoying/distracting. I'm an EVGA fan, but felt I had to give a review. It's too late for me to return it, but I'll do some research on jonnyguru (which I should have done) and find a replacement for this one. Maybe building an HTPC where the tower isn't 2ft from my ear is bad. Works great, just loud. So, TLDR, if noise isn't a problem, buy it. If this could be an issue, look elsewhere.
