Review on πŸ’‘ Enhanced Belkin 6-Outlet Home and Office Power Strip Surge Protector with 4ft Cord by Kenneth Wood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent, but with a caveat

This surge protector has several advantages: it is inexpensive, it comes with wires of different lengths and the mains switch can almost never be accidentally flipped. However, it also has a major downside that prevents me from fully recommending it: There's no way to tell at a glance whether it's on or off, which is an unfortunate omission when most surge protectors have lighted switches and /or have status indicators. This is very annoying in some applications (e.g. I use it as the main switch for devices that are difficult to switch off individually). However, I understand that I have an edge case, and for the 99.9% of people who never need to turn off their power strips, this is a great and inexpensive "set and forget" solution that gives you peace of mind. Surge protection and reliable power switch.

Pros
  • Maximum surge current 48,000 amps. Clamping voltage 330V
Cons
  • Very expensive
