The corkscrew part used to remove the top wire seal from the Ford Y 292 block was unusable. The sealing surface is too small and the tool cannot be screwed in. I ended up attaching the Bubba with a very thin concrete screw with a hex end. Used a wrench to screw it in, attached a couple of vise grips to the hex end and pulled hard which turned the crankshaft. Made several attempts but removed the seal. The next option was to remove the engine and crankshaft. Cable seal replaced with neoprene seal. Everything is fine, there are no leaks. I suspect that in many cases, even if you use a sneaky visor to insert a rope seal, you're just stretching it and still not having an airtight seal. The most effective way to install the cable seal is to pull the handle and drive the top half firmly into the block with a large socket and hammer. Better yet, try a neoprene gasket first. Your results may vary. A Sneaky Pete is for sale cheaply.
