I've had another ionizer for over 10 years, hanging around my neck as it should and I love it. It's so old and broken (although it still works fine) that I was dying to try the new one, which costs about $120 less than my original. Well, despite everything, it arrives in a nice box, but it went downhill from there. They still pay extra for the "black", they sent me a black with a white mount. None of this matters because it turns on, but definitely doesn't produce negative ions. It's charging, the light shows it's on when I turn it on, but it doesn't do anything, both from what I can see and from what I know of how negative ions are generated (I also had a few other large home devices that all work the same way) and I can't imagine this having the capacity. It is caused by electricity between two metal spaces and has only one set of wire bristles. Also, the smell of fresh air should be almost instantaneous and easy to feel, and it has nothing but a little green light. I can see two 5 star reviews but I can't see them. Unfortunately I would not recommend.
