Updated after 3 months - Batteries do not hold a strong charge and cannot hold the charge they do for long. Battery life will show with time, but like all batteries, they eventually stop holding a charge. The biggest problem with this product is that the light stays on for a short time. I didn't time it but I would love this product if you could tweak that aspect. I have a sensor near the door that turns on when you first enter it, but if you're looking for something in the back of a closet, it turns off very quickly. In general it works. Tip: Either make sure the motion sensor is pointing where you/your pet/something is going to move, or make sure you can do what you need to do in 18 seconds faster than expected.
