Review on TP-Link TL-WN821N N300 USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter for PC, Compatible with Windows/Linux/Mac OS by Bhavin Saini ᠌

The quality is at zero, very sting of the money spent.

The dimensions are the only minor defect (looks like simple nit-picking). The fact that the driver made a mistake, though, ruins the whole thing. Four of these adapters are spread throughout my several machines. (Win XP SP2 / SP3, Win 7 x32 / 64) I downloaded and installed multiple versions of the drivers, both those that came with the package and additional ones from the manufacturer's website. Nonetheless, the issue remains the same. After a period of time that ranges from one to many hours of work, WiFi service is interrupted, and the driver is presented with an error. It is usually sufficient to simply turn off the adapter and then turn it back on again (either through the device management or through "network connections"), but there are instances when a simple restart is all that is required (this always helps:). Yet after some time has passed, it happens again. It has been known to function normally for the entire day on occasion, albeit with a greater frequency of interruptions. Perhaps I was part of an unsuccessful (defective) batch that was distributed. I would suggest the TP-LINK TL-WN823N. (there were no problems with it) Comparatively speaking, the number of customer complaints regarding TP-LINK goods is far lower than those regarding D-Link devices.

Pros
  • Affordable, with a strong signal and fast connection, and simple to set up
Cons
  • The length of this stick makes it stand out. Moreover, it is soft enough not to harm, but the thickness is excessive enough that it prevents you from sticking other flash drives next to it. The driver fails (goes into error), which results in WiFi being rendered inoperable.
