These are great compression cubes. I originally bought these because I thought it sounded cool to be able to share dirty clothes. Oddly enough, I don't use this feature at all. I'm worried that the clothes won't be able to breathe because that side of the cube is waterproof, which will lead to bacterial growth. It would be nice if you had to pack wet clothes like a wet bathing suit, but if you had to store dirty or wet clothes for a week it would be ugly. I use a large pack cube for the weekend each week and it has held up pretty well. It has a quality zipper and the material has not yet jammed or snagged. It is very durable and beautiful. A large cube is perfect for a weekend or a three-day business trip. 1-2 weeks or a winter trip, you will need all 2 or all 3. The smaller one is useful for traveling and you can use it to organize small items, not necessarily clothes, it fits in a small backpack. I use other cubes when not traveling to store off-season clothes. It compresses your clothes and lets them breathe, making it good for storage.
