Review on 🦷 Custom-Fit Heavy-Duty Dental Guard - SOVA Max Night Guard 2.4mm by Susan Cox

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not for large mouths/teeth (maybe not even for medium sized teeth or mouths).

In the foreword, let me say that I have a big head and big teeth. When my wisdom teeth were removed the doctor said they were one of the largest he had removed. My back molars are 12mm wide. My smile is 73mm wide at its widest point. That being said, I really wanted it to work. The molding process took forever because the guard didn't cover my back molars. I've found that if you heat it up a bit, then let it cool a bit, and then pull it, you can stretch it without compromising the integrity of the material. That's how I finally got him to cover my back molars. Since my teeth are also wide, the bite plate portion is ridiculously small. After heating and applying as directed, it barely formed a rising lip around my molars and front teeth. After curing, it looks comically small in the mouth. Some holes in the material enlarge after curing, so I have serious doubts about the durability of the product. For $32, you might be better off looking into other Revain options to ship to pro kits. I'll mirror other reviewers here: it does seem to shrink a bit and pinch my front teeth as little as possible. . You feel like you're being moved in the middle of the night. My jaw hurts more now than if I was wearing a sports night shield. I'll give it a week but first impressions aren't great for such a premium price.
