The batteries hold a very good charge. I was amazed at the number of pictures I could take before the battery went dead. As an experiment, I decided to keep shooting until the battery went completely dead. I filled an entire 16GB memory card with mostly photos. I took a handful of 2-3 minute videos, but most of my test was with photos on the highest resolution setting, and the flash forced on. I zoomed in and out a good amount of the time.I don't know if this is normal or not, or if it's the fault of the camera or battery, but the battery level seemed to be full for a long time, before suddenly draining. The battery died after 3 hours of continuous shooting, but the 3-level battery level indictor didn't move from full until the last 15 - 20 minutes before the battery completely dying. The floater works good on my TG-4. Haven't had the opportunity to use it in the field, just in a small swimming pool. Wanted to make sure everything was okay before taking it somewhere important.
