Update to my review (one year later): BEWARE OF CELERAY!

I have had no problems with this juicer for over a year. In all that time, I've never squeezed too much juice from celery at once. I don't like the taste of celery juice but figured I'd drink a lot of it as it's considered unhealthy. Healthy tonic for the nervous system. So I juiced 5 or 6 large stalks at once, plus some Italian parsley, tomatoes, and carrots. But mostly celery. Then it happened. The Omega still managed to squeeze it all out, but when I was done, no matter how hard I tried, the lid was absolutely MUTED. The long, fibrous strands of celery seemed to wrap very tightly around the snail and somehow expanded to form a kind of super-compact. With all my manly strength I could not unscrew the lid! I soaked the basket in a tub of hot water overnight with the lid on and poured copious amounts of Dawn dish soap down the sink, hopefully to act as a lubricant to break the seal. On the other hand I have now called Omega and they have been absolutely amazing in the way they have helped me. They send me sealed parts and don't charge me for shipping. They were very understanding and helpful. I would have no hesitation in giving this company a 10 for customer service. Without doubt. So thank you Omega. So the lesson here folks is that if you're juicing celery, CUT the stalks short (probably 2-2 1/2 inches max) so the fibers aren't long enough to wrap around the snail and brew. . the crazy sticky lid CLOSE. This is still the best juice flavor I've tried in my long organic life. And I am very happy that I have and continue to use the Omega Juicer. .
