I enjoy using waxed cord in my macrame crafts, mostly when wrapping stones, but sometimes just for design work. Since the cord is waxed, you will need to use a means such as glue to secure the knot and prevent it from unraveling. I believe that waxed cords create a strong bond when knotted over time. Unlike other macrame ropes that are slow to break or stretch, this cord gives me no trouble keeping the item secure and the rope intact. The colors are a good choice as I usually only see brown or black. I received the white cable and it really is pure white. I am happy to use this color as a "standout" color in my crafts. I'll post pics when I'm done crafting.
