Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Dagmara odej ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

At the beginning of January 2022, I purchased tires that were manufactured in Malaysia. They were driving an Auto Accent, and they traveled over 5,000 kilometers, the majority of which was on the city streets of Hong Kong. I ran it at the speed that was recommended, which was no more than 80 kilometers per hour, and I tried my best not to skid, even if it wasn't always successful because the winter was quite snowy, but he managed to get out of every situation by himself. After jogging approximately 500 miles (800 kilometers), I discovered that the right front six pieces were missing their studs, while the left side only had three. There is not a single thing out back that is out of place. At this same time, a few more spikes fell off of the drive wheels. Some of them were twisted ever-so-slightly along the axis of rotation of the wheel, but all of the rear spikes were still intact. Pick one from the following: Nordman 5, Gislaved 100, or Toyo. Although Nordman was somewhat more expensive than Cordiant, the humiliatingly weak sidewalls of Nordman's tires were not worth the additional cost. After reading the remarks, I came to the conclusion that the spikes are ineffective against any modern tires. This is most likely because manufacturers make modern tires with softer treads in order to improve their traction on ice. In general, I am pleased with how the car drives when it is equipped with these tires, particularly when it comes to braking on ice or packed snow. As is the case with all winter tires, they float slightly when the weather is favorable. Someone has written something regarding noise. No, the tires make absolutely no noise at all; however, anyone who has driven an Accent is aware that the wheel arches offer very little in the way of sound absorption. Prior to that, I drove on winter tires from a variety of different brands, so there is something to compare them to. Excellent tires at the asking price.

Pros
  • Excellent braking performance on snow and ice. Does not burrow while beginning on ice as well as in snow (the most important thing is to avoid having to struggle with gas). Not particularly noisy, especially after having been run. Because the actual tire is stiffer (which may be a drawback for some people) than the tread, I did not experience any bumps while driving on local roads. At -25 it doesn't become bored (it wasn't colder).
Cons
  • When turning, it causes the front wheels to skid ever-so-slightly on the slippery surface. studying for a total of three months. dropped on the leading seven and four spikes.
