*****UPDATE 11/01/2014***** The rivet connecting one half of the juicer to the other broke yesterday. Reading the recent reviews of this juicer, one would assume that this is a COMMON problem. I have contacted NORPRO to see if they will replace my faulty unit and will update this review when I hear from them. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** a few years. Both were enameled yellow. Both died the same death: chipping and cracking of the enamel, which got progressively worse with repeated use. This time I decided to buy something that will never flake and chose the Norpro Juicer after reading many reviews. Almost twenty dollars is a lot for a juicer? Not if it's built to last. To be honest, this thing is tough enough that you can knock someone out if you have to. It's hard work in every way - nice and thick stainless steel, industrial hinge - it's built to last (and according to some of the reviews here, it's lasted at least a few people 10 years or more). A nice added bonus, it's big enough to hold small to medium-sized oranges, so you can use it to make orange juice. Me? I use it to make very good gin and tonics or old fashioned variations with fresh orange juice.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Not everything fits
