Good kit! Fans and Cooling

This is a very good kit if you have multiple Raspberry Pis. It was very easy to assemble, doesn't require three hands and offers a nice look with good air circulation (see picture). The only tools you need are pliers or small wrenches. The hardest part was screwing the nuts onto the pi stands. You just have to be careful not to damage the Pi board with the pliers while holding the nuts. Advantages: - Easy assembly. The kit comes with a good selection of heatsinks and enough goodies to stack up to 4 Pis. I only needed this so I just built it in two tiers. The screws and fasteners come in well-labeled packages, making it fairly easy to tell which is which. It even comes with a small screwdriver for screws, and if you have dexterous fingers you may not need other tools. - Absolutely silent. There are options to run the fans in silent mode or at full speed. Maybe I don't have very good hearing, but I can't hear the fans at high altitude at all, so I left them that way. - Looks nice. Look at the picture I've attached. That's a nice stack. I only have two Pis but I'm very happy with how it looks. Port access is good and allows for a clean install. I've saved the rest of the parts in case I decide to add another Pi in the future. Good price. The price is reasonable Cons: No, really. It was fun to collect and beautiful to look at. FYI, I added a RavPower 2.5A 6-port USB power bank and some 6" micro USB cables (also available here at Revain) to reduce the number of outlets needed and simplify setup clean up. Both Pis run cool and have sufficient power (the red power LED lights up). I have a couple of suggestions for iUniker regarding the manual: --- Because the small packages with the parts inside are labeled with text like "For Installation". your fan" or "To install your Pi", change the instructions to use the same information so you know which package to use for a specific step. Eventually it became clear, but only after I did the had the contents of all packages sorted into separate piles so I could clearly see what was inside. So instead of saying step 3, 4 small head screws through the bottom panel, I think it would be clearer to say something along the lines of "4 screws and short stands from the package saying "Install Your Pi". Direction of the fan wasn't as easy as it could be as the manual says to make sure the fan label is facing the CPU chip. The problem is that the fan doesn't have an obvious label unlike the picture - there is one but it's black like the rest of the fan it's unlabeled so unless you look closely you won't see there's a label on it , and it could installed the wrong way around. --- The fan cutout on the plastic plate that holds the fan is offset slightly to the side to align with the processor on the Pi. This isn't mentioned in the instructions and if you weren't paying attention to it, it's the Easy installation of the fan, so not directly above the CPU, I didn't notice that initially and had to disassemble the middle panel to get the fan off to bring the other side directly over the CPU. It would be nice to do this with a little comment, saying something like "Make sure you install the fan so it's directly above the processor." Overall a very good product, I'm very happy with it and can recommend it!
