I have a small tail tank and it only has 2 small lights on the hood. Well I have plants in my tank and they fought. This light was of great importance. I've played with it, setting it up in various positions both in the water and in the canopy and it worked great in every position. I ended up keeping it with a hood, but it's nice to know it's waterproof just in case. The suction power is amazing - I set it up once and even with multiple cleanings and moving the hood I didn't touch it, it stayed in place. The number of different color options is exaggerated, but they are quite fun and give a different look to the fish and plants in the aquarium. My child likes it very much. But the main reason I bought it was for the plants, and now they are thriving! Excellent value for money and quality. I'm already planning to get another one for my large tank that I'll be installing soon.
