I bought four 4 inch fans that fit in the back slots of my entertainment cabinet. I figured I could use silicone rubber feet to mount the fans and it worked! Space alone due to the firm fit of the silicone discs on the edges of the cable cutouts on the back of the housing. Because they fit snugly and the backs of the cases are made of thin wood, the fans are louder than an Xbox One X in a case at the highest speeds. However, on the "Medium" settings, the fans are no louder than the gaming console, while on the "Low" settings, the gaming console fans are louder. lots of air at the highest level. I could feel quite warm air rushing out of the case from the fans just behind the Xbox One X, which draw heat out of the back of the case. Other fans, sucking air from the almost empty room, blew out the cool air. You can chain them together, but the speed control seems to affect every other fan downstream. I had four of them connected together and only one of them was connected to the USB port. When I set the grid tied fan to low, the fan stopped at the end of the circuit. Presumably the rest of the fans slowed down.
