It rides well on wood, excellent handling, noisy at high speeds.

The fan was the same diameter as the fan in the Biamp Systems AudiaFlex. One in my DSP got very noisy and I doubted its functionality. It was a good choice. Installation required significant modifications to the DSP chassis as I did not find the original mounting acceptable for maximum airflow. It was my choice. That being said, it moves MUCH more air than a PG fan, which is a good thing! But. It's loud at full speed. The cruise control helps as I can drive it at lower speeds and it gets…

  • So far everything seems unreliable

This fan extends the life of your electronics!

This isn't the first AC Infinity fan I've bought. With electronics that get very hot, the manufacturer often doesn't provide adequate ventilation, so you have to change devices more often and they make more money. These fans will help dissipate electronically harmful heat and extend the life of your investment! I used this particular fan to cool my D-Link router which generates a lot of heat but has no fans. Due to its small size, this AC Infinity fan is ideal for improved heat dissipation from

  • Worth the money

  • Easily repairable

High Tone - Computers and Accessories

This is by no means a quiet fan. When placed on an audio component in a case or similar use, it can be quiet. Our component is only 6 feet from where we were seated, and we can clearly hear the high-pitched fan whine at low speeds, even with movie audio playing. They lie down to redefine their definition of "quiet." I suppose if you compare it to a cheap PC fan you could say it's "quieter" but the 17 decibel rating is definitely far off. I haven't officially measured it, but I'm guessing it's…

Really puts FAN in a fantasy!

I bought four 4 inch fans that fit in the back slots of my entertainment cabinet. I figured I could use silicone rubber feet to mount the fans and it worked! Space alone due to the firm fit of the silicone discs on the edges of the cable cutouts on the back of the housing. Because they fit snugly and the backs of the cases are made of thin wood, the fans are louder than an Xbox One X in a case at the highest speeds. However, on the "Medium" settings, the fans are no louder than the gaming…

Quiet quality on computer components

I work with two theaters. None of them are rich or super profitable, but we strive to make the most of what we have. On one of them I would call it "Grassroots", I made my light guard out of standard rotary dimmers controlling the track lights. On the last show we just finished, A Prose Christmas Carol, I had to turn up one of the halogen bulb dimmers to get enough light on the deep stage. Sometimes, even with the additional ventilation openings, I was too hot to touch. I bought a tiny 40mm fan

Not as quiet as advertised.

The noise floor would have been better if AC's Andrew hadn't stated it was 10dB at medium to low volume. 18dB is probably fine for high-speed work, but I shouldn't have taken out my SP meter. It was too loud. I use it in a 0.5 cu/ft case for Raspberry Pi. It cools very well and keeps the RPI at around 50 degrees Celsius. At any speed, I can hear it from 2.5 to 4 meters away, even with the music on at an average volume. I had high hopes for this fan but it is louder than any of my PLUSPOE PCs…

Decent fan. Not as quiet as expected.

I bought this fan to add extra cooling to my switch which is in a potentially very hot environment. I already had some old Apple USB charging cubes that I wasn't using, it was cheaper to buy one. Keep it significantly cooler to keep me happy. I downgraded it to 3 stars because of the noise. It is by no means a silent fan. I didn't care since that switch is out of earshot, but they seem designed to cool AV gear. I would be very disappointed with the noise level of this fan, even at the lowest…

Ugly but effective cooling system replacement for Intel Compute Stick PC

As the IT admin of a small transportation company, we set up a large monitor so we could all see our cars on the road. After the overhaul, we needed a better solution than using an old Dell PC that was taking up valuable desktop space. We bought an Intel W5 Pro with an Atom x5-z8350 processor and 2GB of RAM running Windows 10 Pro. Since we only needed it to display a web browser, we figured this solution, which would also free up disk space, should work. After running 24/7 for a few months, I…

Putting them on your glasses frame will not make your eyes sweat.

Okay, seriously. They provide a cooling solution for external NVMe chassis heatsinks. They will also work with other vented storage cases that you can find on Revain.com that do not have active cooling. They work well, as do all AC Infinity cooling solutions. They are high quality compared to other options. The fan wheel is quiet and you can adjust the speed for almost silent operation. Test Images: AC Infinity 40mm Fan Tray set to High.
