This monitor is very easy to set up - true plug and play. I didn't notice any mouse lag at all. I bought this monitor so that on a good day I could take my "office" outside and use it as a second monitor. I have a laptop on a nexstand stand so I have a second stand to set up this monitor and it will be a lot easier outside. It works with just one cable, no separate power cord is required. In addition, the monitor is very bright. Then I looked and it was only 30%! For outdoor it will be great. The cover is tricky, but just watch the video and you'll see that it has a magnetized part that sticks to the monitor and makes it easier to stand up.
