Deepcool made some bad decisions in designing a fan that optimizes aesthetics over functionality, and yet it doesn't excel at either. The odd thing is that most of them aren't caused by cheapening; even vice versa. Deepcool has spent money to degrade the performance of these fans and it's confusing. The fans have a "crimped" texture. Unfortunately, this is not based on any aerodynamic principles, but only increases the fan noise. If they had used standard blade geometry (which would have been cheaper to manufacture) they would almost certainly have performed better. I've tested them with some similarly priced PCCooler RGB fans. They lost normalized power in the noise. A lot of. Deepcool claims they use FDB bearings here, so they can certainly be quiet. Another strange choice has to do with cables. Typically, the cables are routed through a channel in one of the frame members. Instead, Deepcool chose to run them along the first page, which looks sticky and probably adds even more to the noise. This is likely due to their bizarre shaped frame design preventing them from inserting a canal. If they used a more traditional frame this wouldn't be a problem and I promise you will never notice a difference once installed. . If anything, the fancy frame looks worse. Finally, RGB itself has a general "blue bias" problem that causes white to not match well. It is also worth noting that some promotional images suggest that they are targeted. it's not like this. Finally, if you want cheap RGB fans, these will suffice. but I would recommend that you consider other options first. If you don't need RGB and are willing to spend a little more, Noctua Redux fans are a good choice. If you want RGB, PCCooler's Halo series might be your best bet.
