The REASON I bought this blanket was to replace 2 of my 4 year old daughter's destroyed blankets with a similar type. When I was able to purchase this king size comforter I was glad that I finally had a warm comforter to use throughout the house in the living room as well as in one bedroom for myself (since my wife rips off my main bedding). Wrap yourself up while she sleeps.). Shortly after receiving this blanket and washing it several times to soften the linens, my 4 year old daughter stole it and now wraps herself in it at night. Of all the cute microfleece she owns, she LOVES my cotton blanket the most. It's light but a good weight so I guess she likes it and why I love it. I will be buying two more of these for my wife and daughter for Christmas so I can get my own blanket back. Moral of the story: DO NOT BUY those microfiber fleece blankets. They're warm and snuggly if you have one big enough, but when you give away a quality cotton blanket like this and one of the others, everyone will choose this one! Don't waste your money on other cute ones, get this one. This is the one you will use until it breaks.
