Given the price and the fact that Bondtech doesn't say on the extruder, this is obviously a clone. Whether it matters depends on expectations. I'll point out a few small issues I found below. First thing to note: if you're going from a 1:1 extruder to such a gear, you may need to make changes to your printer's firmware and/or use GCODE to set the extruder steps per millimeter. Do your homework before switching to an extruder with a different gear ratio. Most printers have a 1:1 extruder ratio, but this one is 3:1, so it takes about three times as many E-steps. The mounting hole for the E3D V6 in Boden's current tubeless direct drive configuration was slightly oval. a shape that would cause my V6 hot end to rock in one direction. This would make precision non-existent in my planned configuration. Multiple fit options for V6 Style DD. 1) Some teflon tape on the hot end of the V6 to tighten the fit. 2) Print a gasket/clip to fit between the bottom of the extruder and the top of the V6 hotend. (I used this option) 3) Drill and cut a set screw to hold the V6 hot end in place (not recommended). Not enough to cause problems or grinding noise and will most likely go away with use. There really aren't too many issues with theses, just double check before installing.
