Review on Siquk Straight Pneumatic Filament Fitting by Jeff Bridgewater

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The tube is good, if a bit swollen. Plugs are not good.

PTFE Tube OD is VERY LITTLE more than 4mm. My calipers adjust the diameter to about 4.15mm, which is enough to keep my printer's 4.1mm thermal break from going through the pipe. The only way to push it through is to push it in with pliers, which of course will damage the tube. After a few minutes of sanding the inside of the thermal break with 3,000 karat sandpaper, I finally managed to get the tube through. BTW, PTFE tubing is great. Supple, strong and long enough that I won't have to buy them for years. Unfortunately, pneumatic connections are not very good. One of them didn't pick up the phone at all, one endured a couple of squeezes and broke, and one broke in the pocket, the plastic piece on the back end just fell out of the main body. So, out of 8 plugs, 3 were defective. Unfortunately, they were all blue with a smaller diameter. I need 2 of these connectors on my printer but only had 1 working one in my bag. Math is not on the good side of this product. :(
