Still needs a lot of work

I tried an earlier version of this and it was extremely unsatisfactory in performance. It was hoped it would be better, and while it's improved slightly over the previous iteration, it still needs a lot of work. Like its predecessor, it primarily suffers from having too much bounce to use effectively in mountain biking, to the point where it's extremely annoying. The double compression straps do little for stabilization and the backpack sags too much when riding. They don't fit on the hip for a grown man and are uncomfortable on long trips, and the small buckle is too small for my liking, which makes it very annoying to close when the backpack is loaded, especially when you're tired and/or have clumsy hands. Another major downside is that there is no QR connection in the bladder, making cleaning the bladder and tubing a cumbersome process in terms of removal and flushing. All in all, I cannot recommend this pack.

Pros
  • Airmesh waistbelt with zippered fabric pockets provides stability and breathability
Cons
  • unreliable
