This is a great sanctuary light. I have IM Nuvo 20g in a tank. I decided to use the second chamber as a refuge. I bought an IM Media Caddy and took out one of the shelves. Heto Ball in the big compartment and some marine biosphere on the bottom shelf. The lamp is perfect! Perfect size, brightness. I installed it right behind my AIO bay. Note: Some IM tanks have a black vinyl sticker on the back of the AIO bay. Using a ruler and utility knife I had to LIGHTLY score a section of the vinyl to remove it to allow light to enter the accessory tray. It took about 3 minutes to finish. (IM really should add something to the instructions about this step). As others have said there is no timer but I use a Samsung SmartThings home automation system so I just plugged this light into one of my controlled outlets and set the automation to turn on and off at 6pm. at 06:00. Easy.
