I fixed my issue where 4WD Hi wouldn't turn on and 2WD Hi Light wouldn't light up.

1997 K2500 Suburban. There was an issue where the 4WD Hi light just flashed instead of on and I couldn't tell if 4WD Hi was on. The low 4WD lights worked (flickered when shifting and then solid) and I could hear the hubs turning on, so it worked. My 2WD Hi light didn't always come on, but it switched from 4WD Low to 2WD Hi. The previous owner replaced the 4WD but that didn't fix the problem. I figured replacing the derailleur would be the cheapest and easiest way to get my 4WD hello to work. Installation was very easy - the hardest part was removing the electrical connector from the old switch that had become caked from the truck over 22 years. You don't have to undo the whole dash - just search YouTube for instructions. After turning on the new switch, all 3 indicator lights worked properly and turned on the appropriate drive selection - 2WD Hi, 4WD Hi and 4WD Low - everything now works and shifts correctly. I can confirm other reviews that say the new shifter LEDs are pretty bright and are now the brightest lights on the dash, but I'm so small the steering wheel blocks their view while driving. If your switches light up or the drive doesn't seem to be working, I would recommend this as your first replacement. If this does not help, proceed to replacing the actuator.
