Toe box is much narrower than Gel Contend 3. Strangely I bought size 7.5d (wide) in Gel Contend 3 and it fits perfectly. But as you can see in my photos, gel contend 4 is clearly half a size bigger. You may also notice that the toe box is noticeably narrower. That makes me suspicious, but that can also be because it's too big. I loved the Contend 3 gel, you can see I've worn it to death, but the Contend 4 gel just doesn't fit my foot. Unfortunately I have to send it back.
