I needed to improve the lighting in my home office. The windows behind me left a silhouette of my face, so I was just a dark outline. Blackout drapes solved that problem, but now the only overhead light illuminated my bald head, making for an equally unattractive view. I've looked at a few different lights without much luck. Then I stumbled across this one. The size is perfect, the ring is just over 6 inches in diameter. I hold it up on the monitor, just above the camera. I only turn it on during a call. The bottom button (4th) is illuminated around the edges so you can press the power button in low light, which is great. For the top three buttons, the top one is lighter, the bottom one is darker, and the middle one changes color. There are three different colors based on using yellowish LEDs, bluish LEDs, or both. This is important when it comes to Zoom meetings. Blue light is bad for your eyes, so don't use it for reading. You want more yellowish. But for face lighting, yellowish gives an unnatural color, and bright blue is much closer to natural light. set up camera. Alternate between bluish and yellowish light to see what results in more natural skin tones. Chances are, your camera comes with an auto iris, so dim the lights all at once with one click, give the camera plenty of time to adjust, and see how dim you can make the light look to one maintain a beautiful complexion. This light does everything. easy and at a competitive price. I'm sure there are bigger, brighter or more expensive flashlights out there but this one fits the bill as it's good enough yet affordable.
