I use this in a pool basket along with an insole and together they catch almost anything! I turn on the pool pump when cleaning the edges of the pool and with the bug and sock not much gets into the large filter so I don't have to clean it as often. I've found that whatever insects are in the pool, water jumpers and water bugs end up in the pool basket, which is a pretty good way to get rid of them. We run the pump in the pool when we swim so all the oils go into the basket and get into the sock and onto the scumbags. and sprayed it with a heavy spray and the algae and dirt came off it (I don't wring the scumbag out!). Haven't used it in over a couple of weeks and haven't swum much yet so I'll be back to this review in a couple of months to let you know how the scumbags are doing.
