My family moved into a new house that already had a garage door opener BUT there were no remote controls. So I found them because we needed 2 and figured that even if they fail I'm only risking $13. When they arrived in the mail they were well made and easy to program. I live in the desert so it gets pretty hot in my car and so far I've melted them as has happened to a few people. I don't know where or how they kept them, but I keep mine on a visor and when I get out of the car I make sure the visor is closed so my remote isn't in direct sunlight. So no problems yet, I've had mine for a few months now. YES, THERE ARE 2 OPENERS AND 2 BATTERIES IN THE BOX.
