Review on Therapists Choice® Triangle Massage Bolster by Veronica Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ideal for therapy and convertible for sleeping.

I have a herniated disc in my lower back and was looking for a device to elevate my legs while I sleep. When I unpacked the Therapist's Choice® Bolster, my first impression was that it was intended for physical therapy and not good for sleeping. Still, I tried tonight. After about an hour my legs got uncomfortable so I went back to the pillow to pick it up. I liked the firm support, but the pointed tip pressed against the backs of my knees. I decided to modify the roller to better suit my application. The vinyl cover was opened and with light pressure the foam interior was removed. The electric carving knife turned out to be the perfect tool for the modification. I tried an inch off the visor first and took a test nap on the bed. It was much better, so I spent the whole night with my knees up. This time I walked for four hours before waking up with discomfort. The next evening I cut off an extra inch from the top and it seems perfect. Firm but gentle hold, suitable height and perfect night's sleep. I woke up with no back pain so I reinstalled the vinyl sleeve and zipped it up. The small plastic zipper resisted at first, but eventually snapped into place. The duvet slides over the sheets, but my bent legs held them in place as I slept on my back. In summary, this roll is clearly Therapist's Choice® with an easy-to-clean cover and sharp corners, perfect for short sessions. It is as advertised. It took a few minutes with a kitchen tool to turn it into the perfect at-home sciatica pain relief solution. I think it's great and would recommend it to others with reservations.
