My '05 Ranger had a very rough idle and was difficult to start, it wasn't noticeable when just stopping the drive and idling. Fuel filter tried, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires; Finally I replaced the OE coil pack with this coil pack from Standard Motor Products. Perfect fit, just install 3 8mm head screws only. Be sure to number the spark plug leads so you can replace them at the exact location. Local parts dealers, Advance, Auto Zone, O'Riellys, were charging $75-$85 per coil pack from manufacturers who didn't have the historic excellence of Standard Motor Products.
