Good tool. Looks like a quality device. I personally don't wash in the dishwasher. It has an internal spring which is good. In this respect, there is nothing on the outside that you could touch with a dishcloth or fingers. A safety clasp at the ends of the beautifully curved handles helps with storage by keeping the sponges together. I have found that by placing the pointy end of the cherry in the anvil you create a cleaner exit for the cherry pit with minimal damage to the cherry. I also tried it with some Kalamata olives as well as some veggies and it worked great. Will I order it again? Yes! Will I order it as a gift? Absolutely! Overall I'm glad I ordered it for my arsenal of kitchen tools.
