I received my item and immediately went to install it in my vehicle. The only issue I had was that the device, even at 10" is still not high enough for my tastes. I could easily use an extra 3-4 inches. Other than that minor thing, the holder went in easily, and holds my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" with plenty of room to spare. The unit is secured in the cup holder by means of a twisting knob that loosens or tightens the base in the cup holder. This is important, as it leads to my next observation.One other thing to note is that if you are using it to hold a large tablet, the unit becomes a bit top-heavy. This resulted in the whole thing falling down when I pressed on my tablet in certain ways. I mostly solved this by loosening the unit just enough to get it into the cup holder, then turning the knob to make the fit a lot tighter. It is a lot more secure now, but over time it may wiggle just enough to come loose at an inopportune moment.I like it, but with the height thing and the top-heavy thing, I couldn't quite go with 5 stars on this one. That being said, it's still a solid item if you are looking for a cup holder mount for your tablet!
