Tried 5-6 other brands. Many had small foam pads that compressed quickly and offered no real protection. neenca and leader cycling had by far the best padding and real gel which makes a big difference. The only downside to the Neenca is that the bottom band that keeps the shorts in place is way too big for my normal average height. so they slide a bit. The maker can easily solve this problem by removing 1/2 inch of fabric from the bottom strip. However, my favorite pair and I have ordered 2 more.
