Maybe it's just my figure (and small breasts), but the padding inside was too bulky for me. I could hardly walk. Especially the cushion between the legs was too wide. I ordered three different brands of shorts to choose which I like best: Neenca, Sponeed and Santic. I prefer Neenca to others. I just found that they have better cushioning and fit. Tried 5-6 other brands. Many had small foam pads that compressed quickly and offered no real protection. neenca and leader cycling had by far the best padding and real gel which makes a big difference. The only downside to the Neenca is that the bottom band that keeps the shorts in place is way too big for my normal average height. so they slide a bit. Well-made, comfortable shorts. Very good value. I've been riding for 40 years and these shorts compare well to the best shorts I've ever had (LG Optimus). Traveling over 30 miles is no problem. The waistband should remain tight and elastic so that the shorts don't ride up. Unfortunately, after several rides, as you can see in the photo, they broke. I bought another type from the same supplier and they were fine. I would avoid the ones with the blue stripe down the leg. Good shorts but padding is a bit thick which is both a good and bad thing. Luckily, it effectively offers reliable protection for many miles, but unfortunately it can feel like you're sitting on something rather than just a seat. And it can increase the seat height, which can put a strain on your knees, but it's not too much of an issue , if you are aware of it.
