I love love love this set. It's not just for beginners. I substitute many art materials. I am very satisfied with the amount of paint, the brushes did not cause me any problems with bristle loss when painting. They keep their shape well. Of course, if you take care of it properly. The palette has indentations and separates the colors; It also gives you some room in the middle for blending or adding gesso. The knife was a pleasant surprise. Along with a palette brush, sponge and 2 mini canvases to get you started. I just feel like I'm missing some kind of gesso. So for a "beginner" the color set is great. I've used acrylic all my life. I recommend. Buy gesso to make the color last longer. If you're buying for a beginner, mixing the colors on the canvas also helps.
