My husband had several of these lamps and this satisfied his need for light above the bar. It got me thinking about all the places I go could use more light. The beauty of them is that you don't need an outlet to power them. The various closets are boring and really need a lightening up, including my closet and pantry. They detect your movement and turn themselves on, so you don't have to fiddle with the switch. They also turn off when they no longer sense human movement. No more grumbling when you leave your closet light on. When the power runs out, simply connect them with the USB cable (included). Don't buy batteries anymore. Hooray!
