I tightened the gaskets on both sides perfectly. The drain was twisted so tight my hands almost bled! - BUT IT STILL LEAKS! I had a clear silicone sealant that I applied liberally to the outside of both sides of the gaskets and that fixed it in place. I bought two of these cans. Both arrived undamaged. Both went ahead. I would NOT recommend this product unless you plan on using silicone sealant. These jugs are literally unusable when they arrive. You'll have a big puddle under your pitcher within minutes of filling it up!
