Review on Pack of 10 SE 10-1/2-Inch Metal Tent Pegs with Glow-in-the-Dark Stoppers - 910NRC10 by Josh Flanagan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good, strong and versatile tent peg with nails? Yes! Glowing in the dark? May be.

Sometimes these ultra-lightweight aluminum (or expensive titanium) stakes just can't handle hard gravel surfaces that require driving the stake with a sledgehammer rather than pressing into soft ground with the palm of your hand. In these tough times, one of those steel nails will come in handy - one because you can drive it in and make a hole for others to drive in hard. I take two, plus some smaller, lighter steel hooks and three-pronged aluminum pegs, along with my lightweight tarp in case I need to pitch a tarp tent. Glowing in the dark? Fur. Not long. Why not if the price is the same as red plastic? The good news is that the plastic part can be moved down a bit so hitting the nail might not break the plastic. not that this would be the end of the usefulness of the nail. One or two of these should be for the backpacker, backpacker or backpacker in my opinion. too many uses to leave behind.
