I use a lot of this stuff and I usually buy the syringe version which is more expensive and smaller with overpack. But compared to the syringe, it was difficult to smear without getting dirty with your fingers etc, even with a small spatula, which I have to clean with alcohol and paper towel after each use. Also, I have to use extra soap and scrub to get it off my fingers. I also noticed that after a month in my hot office, some sort of clear liquid was forming on the thermal paste, apparently some sort of separation. So I mixed it up with a toothpick. Problem solved, except I've now spent a bit on a toothpick (and another towel) which is quite a bit but it takes time and energy and I haven't had this problem with squirts. If you're good at putting it on a chip, it's much better and works great. I think it will be some time before I can do it professionally. -- Much luck. I tried putting the syringe in a small glass and sucking back a little to fill it up. It worked, but it ends and I feel like I'm wasting it fooling around like an amateur.
