I really didn't want to spend $200 on a water dispenser or renting an endless water supply, so after a little research I took a chance on buying this automatic water dispenser. It takes 2-3 hours to charge the device with the included short USB cable (Note: plug adapter NOT included). I've been using it for several months now. Charging lasts through a 5 gallon jug; I usually recharge it when I change the bottle for a new one. The motor is fairly quiet and the on/off button on the back of the lid is responsive. No drips, no mess and the water comes out pretty quickly. It's definitely worth the money. Best of all, having a cooler using electricity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week doesn't add to my electric bill. The other great part is that I no longer have to lift and flip heavy 5 gallon jugs to put them in. dispenser. This model also comes with a pair of adapter plugs which I didn't need but saved in case I buy another pitcher. I simply scrape off the top, remove the seal and use a small knife to pierce the protective plastic on the underside of the lid. You can also remove the lid entirely and that will work too. The mouth of the device still fits snugly into the opening of standard American-style water jugs. The only potential downside is that this device lacks temperature control; Room temperature water, so if you prefer instant ice or boiling water, this might not be for you.
