I bought this to replace a blunt pocket hole drill that originally came with my pocket hole kit. It cut smooth compared to other blunt drill bits, but after less than 50 pocket holes the tip broke off while drilling into a piece of wood. I could easily drill more than twice as many holes with the original bit before it started to dull. Technically I can still use the blunt tip, it just cuts slower and leaves more dirt in the wood (more splinters) after the cut. I wouldn't recommend this bit unless you don't mind buying new bits every 50 or so holes.
