The beauty of this inverter is that it powers 2 to 3 electronic devices at the same time and connects to the car battery without using the cigarette lighter. I've owned mine for 9 months to a year, loved it and bought another. I use it for backup power in the car and for temporary power outages around the house (we have them every 3 weeks or so). I use a spare battery for power. This inverter can power a laptop or computer and a monitor, or a TV and satellite (and a lamp). It has two sockets and a USB port for connection. Compared to an inverter that plugs into a 150W or 400W cigarette lighter socket, this inverter delivers 750W of power. When the car battery that powers this inverter is low, the error indicator will light up and you need to charge the battery. However, it can be hardwired to your vehicle and placed under the driver's seat so you never run out of power while using it. This inverter is not designed to power a standard microwave oven or refrigerator. It could power a 600W microwave or small fridge, but I wouldn't trust it. This comes at a cost that requires backup power for lights, a fan, and a TV or computer for a short time, maybe 4 hours or so. Or for a few small electronic devices that run on the go.
