Just wanted to point out that Whiteside intentionally undersize the bit compared to stock so the bit doesn't cut into the template I discovered this when I tried to copy the Festool Top MFT which uses precise 20mm holes. I've used a Freud cutter in the past with no problems, but I was building a new workbench so I wanted a new cutter and decided to try the Whiteside cutter. cut! Since they fit perfectly in the original holes, I pulled out a caliper and took a few measurements. The stock was .499", but the actual bit size was .494, so it didn't really "cut flush" with the stencil/template. Thinking I might have been wrong, I called WhiteSide Tech Support and found out that they intentionally underestimate the size.bit by about 0.005 so that the pattern doesn't get truncated.I wish I had known this beforehand but they were kind enough to find me a stock exactly the same size, and they will send it to me to replace the one I bought.By the way - I also tried a similar bit from Amana and it was the same, the bit was slightly smaller than stock.Great customer service and the WhiteSide cutters have top reviews !
