Review on Corsair Hydro Hardline Bending Toolkit by Kevin Woods

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap plastic for fans and cooling

The plastic they use for the bending mandrel is not high temperature resistant which defeats the purpose. This wouldn't be a problem if you didn't need to heat the tube while it's in the mandrel. You see, if you preheat the tube to the point where it's ready to bend and try to push it into the instrument, your tube will flatten out and fail completely. You obviously can't heat it in a mandrel because it will melt. To sum up the whole package: the hacksaw is very weak, the pipe clamp is totally unnecessary and gives the same results as just holding the pipe, the mandrel melts when you try to bend, the bevel tool is cheap and ineffective, and I think the socket pipe it's OK. So if you want the best part of this pack, just buy the silicone insert and save $30.
